About the Course

Join Noble Research Institute for a one-day, hands-on workshop exploring how prescribed fire can be used as a practical land management tool. Through a mix of classroom discussion, field learning and a live demonstration burn, you'll learn where fire can fit into your management and what to consider before putting it to work on your own operation.

You’ll rotate through four hands-on learning stations before seeing the concepts come together during a live prescribed burn demonstration. The day will wrap up with a debrief to discuss what happened during the burn, what you observed and how those lessons can apply to your own land.

Whether you’re considering prescribed fire for the first time or looking to better understand how it can fit alongside your existing grazing management, this workshop will give you practical exposure to the principles, planning and application of prescribed burning.
